The Maine Narrow Gauge RR may seem to have east and west backwards but if you know that the line they currently run on went to Montreal, Canada, remember that Montreal is northwest of Portland, and that the Grand Trunk line started at India St. and went out around the point, then you will understand why MNGRR West is east and MNGRR East is west.
This is why Trails West is on the east end of Eastern Promenade Trail, at 43.671826, -70.247273. Still confused, just ask the crew, as long as they remember their directions it works.
